A hot day at the Zoo

So today we decided to take the kids to the zoo. We don't have a lot of money and the St. Louis Zoo is Free admission to the main part of the Zoo. The Children's Zoo is free for the first hour the zoo is open too so we got there when they opened just for that. It was so hot, but we survived drinking lots of water and eating lunch that we packed and brought along.

The Sting Ray exhibit is also free for the first hour, so we stopped by there on our way to the Children's Zoo.

Then there was the Children's Zoo

The prarie dogs didn't wanna come to the window and let us see them.

I think it's about impossible to get them all to look at the camera for a good pic.

I liked this one.

Hey, they're all looking at the camera....it is possible.

And some of my favorite animal pictures now, since I've gone picture overload already anyway.

Visit with Mom/Grandma

and great grandma too...

28 Weeks and a Trip to the Park

So I had an appointment Wednesday for my 28 week checkup. My blood pressure was good, urine sample was clean, Abbi's heart rate was 153. I also had my one hour glucose tolerance test. Had to drink my Fruit Punch Flavored Sugar drink one hour before my appointment and then have blood drawn. I got the results back on Friday morning. I failed! 188 and normal range is between 130 and 140. So Tuesday I get to spend a lovely four hours at the dr.'s office for the 3 hour glucose test...yay fun. Not looking forward to that at all. So here is a look at the 28 week belly which is measuring 32
...

Now on to the park. Since the sis watched the kids while I went to my appointment, we went to lunch after and then took the kids to the park for a little while. It was so hot that we didn't stay long, but I think they had fun anyway.

Look out Second Grade

So it's official... My first babies are now moving on to second grade. Today was their last hour of school. Summer vacation has begun. I made a special picture collage for each of their teachers, and the girls painted the frames for them. They both seemed to like them and the girls were very excited to give them today. Each of their classes had donuts this morning, and played a game, and read a book before receiving their final report card for the year(which I haven't had a chance to look at yet).

Shrine Circus

Shianne brought home tickets to the Shrine Circus from school, so we made use of them and went to the last show last night. This was the girls first circus. They enjoyed it, although I wish we had gotten there a little sooner for better seats. We know better now for next time. They enjoyed some nachos, cotton candy, popcorn and funnel cake...nice dinner huh? Jilli, daddy and I had a hot dog too. It was quite warm out, but we were in a shaded area so it wasn't so bad. Our bottoms were sore from sitting on the wood benches. Here are a few pictures of the many hubby snapped.
